Learn How To Sew Virtually/Virtual Learning Sewing Machine Class  

In this three-hour class, you will learn how to sew—no prior sewing experience is necessary.

Sewing is a valuable skill that promotes creativity, self-sufficiency, and sustainability. It helps reduce waste by allowing you to repair, alter, and upcycle clothing, contributing to a more eco-friendly fashion approach.  We created this class because we know it would be a very useful resource for people who would love to be a part of this.

Additionally, it also saves money, enables customization, and builds confidence in creating unique, well-fitting garments. Beyond personal benefits, it supports ethical fashion choices by reducing reliance on fast fashion. 

Overall, learning to sew is a practical and sustainable skill that empowers individuals while positively impacting the environment.

In this class we will learn the following.  

1. Sewing machine knowledge Learn basic sewing skills
2. Learn basic sewing stitches  
3. Learn to sew straight lines
4. Finish class with a tote bag or pillow cover you made by yourself.   

Equipment: Items we'll use for this class:

1. Home Sewing Machine (you'll need one at home)
2. Sewing needles
3. Sewing thread
4. Any 100% cotton 2 yard.
5. Measuring tape
6. Fabric and thread will be mailed to you.
